About Martin A. Bain, MD, FACS

Dr. Bain has been with Western Surgical Group since 2002. He has focused his practice on trauma, critical care, and emergent general surgeries. He is actively involved in trauma system program development, medical student education, and regional disaster planning. Dr. Bain served as the medical director of the regional Trauma Surgical ICU for over 7 years and serves in both state and national leadership roles for trauma education, quality, and advocacy. He is a colonel in the Nevada Air National Guard, with more than 300 flight hours. He has over 45 hours of combat flying experience in the Iraqi theater as a Critical Care Air Transport physician.
