About Sharon Wright, MD, FACS

Dr. Wright is a caring, conscientious, patient-centric surgeon who brings a fresh vibrancy to her work in the compassionate care of her patients. She focuses on the care of thyroid disorders, parathyroid disorders, breast cancer, as well as a wide breadth of other general surgical issues. During her surgical training at Oregon Health and Science University, she spent a year in rural Oregon, completing a fellowship in rural general surgery, which exposed her to a wide range of common and complex surgical services.  She currently serves as the section chief of general surgery at Saint Mary’s Medical Center. Hailing from Oregon, she enjoys the Nevada outdoors and spending time with her husband (Dr. Nicholas Spoerke,  a Western Surgical Group trauma physician) and their two daughters.
