About Frieda Hulka, MD, FACS

Dr. Hulka joined Western Surgical Group in 1999, after completing her General Surgical residency and Trauma and Critical Care fellowship, becoming the first woman surgeon in the group as well as the first woman trauma surgeon in Northern Nevada. In the first few years of practice, she focused on caring for general, breast and trauma patients. After three years of practice, she became the first Pediatric Surgical fellow at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She returned to resume her general practice but focuses on caring for the most vulnerable of our community- our children.
