12 Days of Christmas- WBI Style
You know the traditional version of the 12 Days of Christmas song. “On the 1st day of Christmas my true love gave to me…” This year we’re rewriting the 12 Days to practice self-care. Self –care includes actions you take upon yourself to take care of you emotionally, physically, and mentally. Practicing self-care helps you live a better quality of life and contributes to your well-being and those around you.
This Christmas be your own true love and give yourself the gift of self-care. Sing along….
On the 1st day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me and my body all my vitamins and minerals by taking all my supplements.
On the 2nd day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me a 10 minute time-out to relax, breathe, and reset.
On the 3rd day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me a water bottle to meet my fluid needs with healthier beverages.
On the 4th day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me mindful eating, especially at snack time.
On the 5th day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me attendance at a support group.
On the 6th day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me a brisk walk.
On the 7th day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me only non-carbonated beverages.
On the 8th day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me enough sleep to help my metabolismand have energy the next day.
On the 9th day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me time to stop and be aware of my emotional eating.
On the 10th day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me my meals prepped ahead of time to make my life easier and take care of my body with healthier foods.
On the 11th day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me a day of food recording to make sure I am still meeting my protein goals.
On the 12th day of Christmas I loved myself and gave to me time to reflect on my progress and count my blessings.
