About Shannon Beal, MD, RPVI, FACS

Dr. Shannon Beal is a fellowship-trained general and vascular surgeon at Western Surgical Group. Originally from Sacramento, California, she earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Detroit Mercy and her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She completed general surgery training at UC Davis Medical Center and a vascular surgery fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Beal is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). She also holds a Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit and has contributed to peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American College of Surgeons, the Journal of Medical Oncology, and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Beal was a full soccer scholarship athlete and enjoys rock climbing, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, water sports, and spending time with her dogs.
