Western Surgical Group was formed in 1996 by the joining of four solo surgical practices. Since then
the group has expanded to twelve surgeons and a staff of over 70.
The surgeons of Western Surgical Group are a group of highly skilled and professional surgeons dedicated
to give our best in the way of quality care. We practice ethics that are unsurpassed by other
professional medical care providers. We work vigorously to keep our education level current, and
embrace leading edge procedures that new technological breakthroughs and science uncover.
The surgeons of Western Surgical Group have always provided their patients with personalized surgical
care. The goal of the group is to continue to provide personalized surgical care in a broad spectrum
of surgical specialties. These include surgery of the breast, lung, colon & rectum, vascular
surgical services including angiography and endovascular surgery. All forms of abdominal surgery
and surgery of the endocrine system. We provide care of the thoracic surgical patient, including
minimally invasive and thoracoscopic surgery. WSG has the only pediatric surgeon in Northern Nevada,
as well as surgeons who specialize in Bariatric surgery.
The group dedicates a very strong commitment to the treatment of the traumatized patient. Six
of our physicians currently serve on the Trauma Panel at Renown Medical Center.
